Educational Philosophy
Schools are about providing opportunities and preparing conscientious citizens for our communities. Schools are no longer just about the 3R’s. Our schools are also theaters and laboratories, sports stadiums and art galleries, kitchens and workshops. They are places where children can come and feel safe and cared for. In schools today children are learning about tolerance, inclusiveness and respect for others and themselves. Schools are providing programs to enhance self-esteem and teach peaceful conflict resolution. They provide opportunities for developing leadership skills and support to try that which is unfamiliar. Today’s schools offer opportunities through a variety of academic, technical and fine arts courses. Schools today must value the uniqueness of the individual and encourage all learners to strive to be the best they can be.
