School District 2010 Community Meetings
The School District has held a number of Community Meetings at the following locations regarding the 2010 Olympics.
Squamish:

Tuesday, Feb. 20 – Myrtle Philip Community School (as advertised by MP PAC), 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meetings was to inform the public, including parents, of the progress being made by the School District 2010 Committee and to discuss the involvement of schools in 2010. The intention was also for the public to voice ideas and items for the Committee to consider.
At the Community Meetings the questions asked were ...
- List concerns you have if schools are not in session during the Games.
- Realizing that if schools are in session during the Games, and curriculum will be taught, how will you and your family plan the Olympic period?
- If schools are closed for the Olympics, what would you like your children to be involved in? Indicate if your child is in secondary or primary.
- If the schools are closed during the Games, what is important to you in timetable scheduling?
- What key questions would you like answered?
- How should the SD # 48 2010 Committee continue to communicate with the public and you the parents from this point on?
