This Web page shares detailed information on a wide variety of learning opportunities available to educators and other partners in the Howe Sound School District Learning Community.

Our District Professional Learning Structures support sustained, collaborative opportunities within an inquiry based approach to facilitate deep learning around the latest research-based strategies for effective planning, implementation and assessment of powerful learning.

With the purpose of improving learning and teaching for all, the professional learning opportunities aim to:

• Enhance instructional and assessment practices specifically in these curriculum area:
• Literacy

• Mathematics
• Foster professional dialogue within our learning community and inter-district networks.
• Develop professional relationships within the District Learning Community.
• Build leadership capacity to support the evolution of learning communities that prepare students for the future challenges in the 21st century.
